Invisible Adding & Subtracting
Activity, Stage 2 – Bigger and Smaller Numbers
First
Have your child count a small number of objects and put them in a box.
Next
Ask them to put up the same number of fingers as there are objects in the box.
Finally
Show your child that you are adding (or removing) one or two objects to the box, and ask ‘How many objects are in the box now?’
