Reviewing Subtraction Skills
Introduction, Stage 4 – Mental Math – Single-Digit Add & Sub
Before starting these subtraction activities, practice any of the following skills that happen to
be weak for your child:
- Add and subtract 0, 1, 2 (and perhaps 3)
- Subtract numbers 1 or 2 apart
- Know the number bonds for 10 and how they make subtracting from 10 easy
- Subtract 10 from numbers from 11 to 19
