My heart feels a lot of things.

  1. Think of different feelings you have. How many can you think of?
  2. Tell a story about a time when you felt one of those feelings.
  3. Do your feelings fit into a few groups? For example, are they all happy or sad feelings?

I feel happy when my granny tells us stories in the evening.

  1. Do you know a special person who loves to tell you stories? Does it make you feel good to hear that person tell stories?
  2. Count together how many children are listening to granny’s story. If you add granny to that count, it will be one more – how many would that make?
  3. Do these children look happy? How can you tell?

I feel silly when I play with my friend.

  1. What things do you do when you are being silly?
  2. Count together the hands, feet, eyes, noses, fingers, toes, or anything else you see.
  3. Which group of things has the biggest number and which one has the smallest?

I feel bad when my dad says he does not have money.

  1. What sorts of things make you sad?
  2. Point to and name the colors of their different pieces of clothing.
  3. Count the number of buttons on her dress.

I feel loved when my mom gives me a hug.

  1. What are some special moments that make you feel loved?
  2. What do you do to let others know you feel love for them?
  3. The mother’s clothing has stripes and the girl’s has stars. Do you have some clothes with stars or some other shapes on them?
